Overview
RECycling Your Power is a team of Western Washington University students who received a Sustainable Action Fund large grant to implement power-producing bicycles in the Wade King Recreation Center. These bikes will help offset energy normally used to run the machines and instead harness the energy to power the machine’s functions. With the success of this project, it will catalyze the procurement of future equipment of this innovative technology.
RECycling Your Power continues Western Washington University's commitment and mission to reduce the reliance on fossil-fuels and facilitates environmental awareness to the student body. It will bring more awareness to electricity usage and the need to be conscious of it by placing four exercise bicycles into the Wade King Gym. In the hopes it will empower them to make a change.
