Think tank
RECyling Your Power is a team of driven, innovative, fun and forward thinking Western students aspiring to make a positive impact in the professional world. By coming from different backgrounds, we are a diverse and strong team that was able to do what was origninally thought as the improbable. Our goal was to bring renewable energy to campus and to educate and empower students. As a team we desired to break away from the norm and pave the way for something sustainable. By bringing in electricity producing workout equipment, students will gain a first-hand perspective of just how much energy it takes to run their everyday lives, as well as expand students perspectives of renewable energy possibilities. We hope to lay the foundation for students and the Recreation Center to see the opportunity in this technology and to bring more into the facility in the future and to carry the concept beyond campus.
